This is a pretty good book that deals with programming the cards in the Sound
Blaster family. When i first started it, i was totally lost. I did some research
on the internet and came back to it, then it was a LOT clearer. It shows
the reader how to interface with some of the drivers supplied by Creative Labs like
the Ct-VOICE.drv. It was nice because you can get your feet wet with this book using
the drivers supplied, then if you like you can develop your own library that interfaces
with the sound card directly like i did. A good beginners book. I think i've seen a 2nd
version at the library, maybe it does a little better job of explaining everything right
off than this one.
