My Interests

Well i think its abundantly clear that i like to put
loads of crap on the internet. I figure that we can't have TOO much information
out there. In my spare time i wish i was a little more exciting all i do
is program and do stuff for my webpage. I guess you could say i'm a little
dedicated to my work :)
I also enjoy drawing and scetching. I finally went up to the art supply store and got me
a good supply of drawing pencils and stuff. I drew a lot when i was still in High School,
but unfortunately i haven't been doing it since then, until now!
I've joined a programming group working on a side scrolling game kinda like sonic the hedge hog.
I'm mainly responsible for special effects, but i'm also going to be using some of my existing code
to move the project along. At the same time i'm also working with Computer Science majors from
North Dakota State University on continuing my game. I think that all have a lot to offer to the
project. What some lack in programming experience, they can make up with imagination and ideas!
The school project went belly up :(. The group just didn't meet often enough to justify staying
with it. We actually only met 1 more time after the initial meeting. Oh well. I'm focusing on
putting more goodies on my glorious website and also working on the story and characters in depth.
Wish me luck!
My Game

So far i have put in just about 2 years into a game
i am developing, single handedly I might add. Its gone from a simple 2-d
based wolfenstein engine to a 2.5d Doom Engine to a fully 3-d engine kinda
like Quake. I have some of the story line written, but i'm mostly working
on the game itself because i figure no matter how good of a story a game
has, the game is going to be judged on how well the objects in the game
interact and react. The programmer has to submerse the player into the
game with action, suspense, FEAR, and NPC interaction. If you can't tell
by now, i'm a big fan of role playing games. My game is also going to incorporate
a lot of variables like a users ability to hear sound at a max radius and
then have each object generate a certain volume level so that hearing and
seeing ability are calculated correctly :)
I've kind of put a little hold on developing my game right now. I'm currently focusing
on the project i've started with some friends over the internet. I'm also exploring different
graphics and other misc programming ideas, writing tutorials on what i've discovered along the
way.

This is me busting out some tutorials. Look at me go..
